Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer – 3 months+ - Remote Working – Up to £65 per hour umbrella – East Midlands
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority in the East Midlands who are recruiting for a Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their department. This opportunity is looking for full time hours only and is offered for an initial period of 3 months with a strong likelihood of extension thereafter. It can be worked on a predominantly remote working basis, with very rare in person court attendance and ideally one day a week in the office as a preference.
They will also be a Solicitor or Barrister with prior experience working within Local Government carrying a full and varied caseload of Adult Social Care matters and Mental Health.
Working Requirements/Duties:
•             Understand the legal framework and case law relating to, Adult Social Care and Health
•             Understand the issues facing Local Authorities, legal service departments and Lawyers
•             Provide legal advice to Local Authority clients in one or more of the areas above on complex matters
•             Devise Consent orders and 21 A’s mainly using CVP and Teams
•             Attend the office on the first and second day to complete an induction, meet the team and collect IT equipment
•             Candidates ideally should be confident with time recording and case management systems but also in conducting their own advocacy
An hourly rate of up to £65 per hour is offered for this position dependent on experience level.
