Venn Group is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Locum Democratic Services Officer to join a reputable Public Sector organisation in the Midlands.
Key Details:
- Work Schedule: Full-time with 2 office days per week
- Rate: £30 per hour (umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support elected members and officers to ensure effective and efficient decision-making
- Provide expert advice on local government legislation and democratic processes
- Deliver high-quality committee administration, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and report writing
- Support and/or lead scrutiny bodies, assisting elected members in identifying areas for improvement and driving policy change
- Engage with officers and elected members at all levels, ensuring governance and transparency
