Nicholas Associates is partnered with a groundworks contractor based in the South West, they provide a civil engineering and groundworks service to the construction industry. They are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor.

The Health and Safety Advisor will be required to work on sites across the South West including, Swindon, Bristol, Oxford . To succeed in this role you will be expected to carry out the following roles and responsibilities with a comfortable level of autonomy:

路Report to the regional HSE Manager and provide support and assistance to HSE team, Construction Directors, Contracts Managers, and the site teams on HSE issues

路Have/build an accurate understanding of the Organisations HSE policies and management system.

路Promote and ensure implementation of the organisations occupational H&S and environmental policies and procedures across all developments.

路Attend pre-commencement meetings as requested to proactively contribute to the initial decisions made by the construction team on H&S matters.

路Lead on accident/incident investigation. Produce detailed and factual investigation reports with establishment of immediate/contributory/ root cause analysis.

路Responsible for all on site health, safety & environmental issues.

路You will be responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are implemented, adhered to and developed in line with HSE guidelines as well as mentoring

Experience Required:

路HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH & IOSH.

路Must have previous experience with a civil engineering contractor

路Experience in civil engineering, groundworks or housebuilding

路Have a robust knowledge of construction and sub-contracting

路Previous experience within the house building sector

路Confident in using Microsoft office suite (word, excel, power point, teams)
