Summary
A national consultancy has won a program of work in Wiltshire for a leading cloud infrastructure client, which will involve the installation of up to 1,900 roll-in cabinets across 15 data halls, requiring a team of engineers to contribute to the delivery within a 6-week timeframe.
This role will be 5 days a week onsite in Wiltshire, 12 hour shifts, with a 6 week duration.
The Role
The entire scope of the project will involve the installation of 1,200-1,900 populated roll-in cabinets across 15 data halls.
Responsibilties Include:
- Conducting long-line patching and plug-and-play fibre installations.
- Following detailed patching schedules and cabling plans.
- Plugging directly into equipment as per the cabling schedule.
- Ensuring all work adheres to safety and quality standards.
Program Details:
- Engineers will work 12-hour shifts (8am-8pm or 8pm-8am).
- Shifts include day or overnight work continuously over the 6-week period.
- Competitive rate.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in data center installations.
- Understanding of patching schedules and fibre installations.
- Familiarity with copper and pre-term fibre cabling.
- BPSS clearance (or willingness to obtain before the project start date).
- Ability to commit to 12-hour shifts.
