The Company

The client, a Rural Planning and Design Firm who specialises in Planning, Rural Architecture and Town and Country Planning, is looking for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join the team in Taunton. The team brings extensive experience and offers specialized rural services to a diverse range of clients, including farmers, rural estate owners, equestrian businesses, and tourism entrepreneurs.

The Position as a Senior Town Planner

  • Conducting site visits and attending client meetings across Southern England, offering direct advice on planning processes and procedures to both retained and prospective clients.
  • Preparing site appraisals, planning reports, and feasibility studies.
  • Participating in sales activities, supporting the team with sales efforts, and assisting in the preparation of business proposals, formal quotations, and development options.

Essential Criteria for the candidate as a Senior Town Planner

  • RTPI accredited town planning degree or relevant
  • MRTPI is desirable
  • Previous relevant consultancy experience in Development Management- Particularly in rural matters.
  • Have good communication and an enthusiastic mentality
  • Ability to work in a fast-faced environment
