Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently recruiting for a skilled Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a well-regarded Midlands-based Local Authority. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, offering a remote working arrangement with only one day of office attendance per month to participate in the team day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement: Advising on and implementing the new Procurement Act.
- Commercial Contracts and Grants: Drafting and negotiating bespoke documentation tailored to the Council’s needs.
- ICT and Software Procurement: Providing comprehensive advice and support for technology-related contracts.
- Construction Contracts: Handling agreements under the JCT contract suite, including collateral warranties.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in handling procurement, commercial contracts, and construction-related legal matters.
- Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex agreements.
- Local Authority experience is essential for this role.
