As part of its continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor / Lawyer to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal professional to manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters and contribute to the firm's success.

Role Overview

This role offers the opportunity to handle a broad range of commercial property transactions, working within a supportive and thriving department. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent client care skills, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of commercial property transactions, including:
    • Acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold commercial properties
    • Acting for developers, promoters, and landowners on residential, retail, and mixed-use schemes
    • Handling all aspects of development projects, from site acquisition and planning to construction and eventual sale
    • Commercial leases, acting for both landlords and tenants across various sectors
    • Option agreements, overage agreements, and promotion agreements
    • Advising on land development matters, including site assembly and infrastructure agreements
    • Investment property transactions, including portfolio acquisitions and disposals
    • Real estate finance and secured lending
    • Corporate support work, assisting with property aspects of business acquisitions and disposals
  • Client Engagement: Provide clear, strategic advice to clients, ensuring excellent service and communication throughout the process.
  • Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest professional standards.
  • Business Development: Assist in growing the firm's client base through networking, marketing initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships with referrers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside solicitors, lawyers, paralegals, and support staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service for clients.

Person Specification

  • Qualified Solicitor or Lawyer with strong experience in commercial property law.
  • Proven ability to handle a varied and complex caseload independently.
  • Excellent client care skills, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk management.
  • Commercial awareness and a willingness to contribute to the firm's growth and success.
