Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer – 3 months + - Remote Working – Up to £60 per hour Umbrella – Midlands  Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority in the Midlands who are recruiting for a Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their department. This opportunity is looking for full time hours and is offered for an initial period of 3 months with a strong likelihood of extension thereafter.
This role can be worked on a remote working basis, however there may be the odd occasion to attend Court if needed.  The successful candidate will be a Solicitor or Barrister with prior experience working within Local Government carrying a full and varied caseload of Adult Social Care matters including Mental Health. Working Requirements/Duties:•             Understand the legal framework and case law relating to, Adult Social Care and Mental Health•             Understand the issues facing Local Authorities, legal service departments and Lawyers•             Provide legal advice to Local Authority clients in one or more of the areas above on complex matters•             Devise Consent orders and 21 A’s mainly using CVP and Teams•             Attend the office on the first and second day to complete an induction, meet the team and collect IT equipment•             Candidates ideally should be confident with time recording and case management systems but also in conducting their own advocacy An hourly rate of up to £60 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependent on experience level. Please apply for this role online or contact Connie Ross or Sam Cox via phone or email for further information.
