Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer – Remote Working – £55 Umbrella – South West

Venn Group’s specialist Public Sector Legal team is working with a South West Local Authority who are seeking to appoint a talented Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer to join their team for an initial term of 3 months, subject to likely extension thereafter.

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Lawyer (Solicitors, Barristers and highly experienced CILEX professionals) with recent local government experience (preferably at county or unitary level) in any of the following areas:

·       Judicial Review

·       Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND)

·       Property litigation

·       General highways advice

·       Possession proceedings/Gypsy Traveller Liaison advice

·       Provide advice to maintained schools (e.g. parental disputes).

·       Planning (desirable)

·       Criminal (desirable)

An attractive hourly rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependent on experience. Remote working is available, however ideally the successful candidate will be willing to travel to attend court when necessary.
