Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Remote – £55 per hour Umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently working with a Midlands-based Local Authority seeking a skilled Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their team for an initial 3-month assignment with likely extensions. This position is hybrid (rare office attendance) and offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £55 per hour (Umbrella), dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including grant agreements and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
- Advising on and managing matters related to general commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Providing pragmatic and solutions-focused legal advice to stakeholders across the Local Authority.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with relevant experience in commercial contract law.
- Prior experience advising within the public sector is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to manage a varied caseload independently while delivering high-quality outcomes.
