Senior Commercial Property Lawyer – Midlands-Based Council – Remote Working – Up to £60 per hour Umbrella

Venn Group are recruiting for a Senior Commercial Property Lawyer on behalf of a Midlands based Local Authority. This is a fully remote role on an initial three-month contract, with potential for extension. The client would like someone to join ideally on a full time basis however part time hours will also be considered.

Role Overview

You will provide legal advice on a range of Commercial Property matters, supporting Council departments and external clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on complex property transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, development agreements, compulsory purchase, option agreements, and overage.
  • Managing property and development projects.
  • Reviewing and advising on Cabinet and Committee reports, attending meetings as required.
  • Supervising junior staff and delivering training.
  • Ensuring compliance with LEXCEL quality standards.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEX with strong Commercial Property experience in the public or private sector.
  • Ability to handle complex transactions independently and work in a fast-paced environment.
