Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Solicitor in Somerset on a fully remote basis. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

  • Provide high level legal and property-related advice to Members and senior officers covering property and housing
  • Provide high level legal and property-related advice in relation to disposals and acquisitions, a variety of matters falling within the Housing Acts and the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
  • Provide high level legal and property-related advice in relation to the devolution of organisation's property assets, disposals at an undervalue, overage provisions and options

The candidate:

  • Must be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales
  • Must have extensive property law knowledge
  • Public sector experience is desirable
