Description
As the Head of Customs, Supply Chain, you are responsible to drive, manage and implement the group customs duty strategy. As the subject matter expert, you will also be the key person to advise the business on customs issues including any updates on regulations, duty rates and origin preference changes in UK, EU or other relevant jurisdictions. You will assist the business to prepare for these changes. You will work to continuously improve the customs duty spend to bring value to the business while complying with legal regulations.
- Overseeing all customs and EMEA Export operations within the company.
- Developing and implementing efficient logistics strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant customs legislation.
- Leading and managing a large team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
- Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitoring industry trends and adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Reporting directly to senior management on supply chain performance.
