We are seeking a highly competent Transport Manager to oversee and optimise our logistics operations in Bristol - Portishead.

Description

The Transport Manager will be responsible for;

  • Managing and optimising transport and logistics operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all transport directives and regulations.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing logistics team.
  • Collaborating with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems.
  • Identifying and targeting areas in which a business can improve transport efficiency.
  • Overseeing the planning and scheduling of transport routes.
  • Managing budgets and maintaining statistical and financial records.
  • Implementing health and safety standards within the transport department.
  • Commutable daily to Bristol - Portishead

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

  • A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background - Essential.
  • 2+ years Transport Leadership experience within a medium to large sized transport operation - Essential.
  • Exposure to having overseen a Transport function in some capacity previously - Essential.
  • Proven experience in managing & routing 30+ vehicles through various multi-site teams - Essential.
  • A deep understanding across operation KPI's , finance & overall commerciality - Pence Per Mile, Back haul Operations etc - Essential.
  • A CPC National / International qualification, demonstrating your deep understanding of transportation regulations - Essential.
  • A true passion for people development, providing excellent service and continuous improvement - Advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence - Essential.
