RT22 - Heat Exchanger EngineerLocation: South West EnglandSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per annum (Dependent on experience)OverviewFirst Military Recruitment are currently looking for a Heat Exchanger Engineer on behalf of one of our renowned clients, covering the South West region of England. This role comes with a good level of autonomy. You will be trusted to work remotely, travelling between customer sites and carrying out servicing and testing of heat exchangers, tanks and any other associated equipment. The role offers flexible hours covering 39 hours a week + overtime, and will require the successful candidate to be flexible to work some longer days and occasionally respond to weekend call outs.You will be required to ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner and complies with all workplace health and safety regulations. Our client are looking for candidates with a strong engineering background in a similar role or with strong demonstratable knowledge of working with heat exchange systems and role specific qualifications. Ex-military are strongly urged to apply although all candidates will be considered.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Testing of heat exchangers, tanks and associated equipment.
  • Repair, refurbishment and replacement of plate heat exchangers including complete packs, plates and gaskets.
  • Working on customer sites, testing, removing, dismantling, re-assembling and re-installing plate heat exchangers.
  • Working and assisting other divisions as and when required in satisfying both customer and internal requirements.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out safely and complies with all Health & Safety regulations.
  • To ensure that agreed procedures are followed at all times.
  • To ensure that Documentation, Timesheets and Expense Claims are completed and are submitted promptly and correctly to enable prompt invoicing or payment.
  • To play an active part in the development, promotion and growth of all divisions across the company.
  • To carry out Service, Installation, Re-location, Commissioning and Repair work within your skills and abilities. Equipment will include but not be limited to Heat Exchangers, Homogenisers, Separators, Pumps, Valves, Fillers, Tanks and other process and packaging equipment.
  • To develop good working relationships with your customers and colleagues.
  • To attend regular service meetings.
  • To maintain good communication with other Service staff and colleagues in other departments.
  • To ensure all paperwork is fully completed, kept up to date and submitted promptly as required. Eg, Service Reports, Timesheets, Expenses.
  • To help ensure that stock/parts are correctly booked to and from stores.
  • To undertake any other tasks that may be reasonably expected.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving License (Essential)
  • Forklift truck license (Desirable)
  • High quality of workmanship.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
  • Efficiency and good record of carrying work out in a timely manner.
  • Good timekeeping ability.
  • Strong team player.
