Calling all Mechanical Design Managers!

Blueprint Recruitment are working alongside a market-leading contractor who are on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Design Manager to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This position offers predominantly remote working, and the ideal candidate will be based in the South West due to occasional site visitation in and around Poole, Bristol and Plymouth. If selected, you will be responsible for the consultants design delivery, representing the main contractor on an EV/Manufacturing project in the Building Services sector.

Our client is a UK market-leader in providing expertise based in Engineering Services, as well as the design, installation, integration, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical technologies. The operate across a variety of sectors, including, but not limited to, Building Services, Engineering Services, Infrastructure, and Facilities Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project from a design perspective, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.
  • Oversee consultants' design progress and represent the main contractor on site.
  • Collaborate with MEP, Civils, and Architecture teams to ensure project success.
  • Proactive in ensuring effective communication and production of good quality information.
  • Aid with the development of junior project and design engineers

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong background in mechanical design management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to push design delivery forward.
  • Based in the South West of England.
