Home Moves Officer

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? We are looking for a dedicated Home Moves Officer to support social housing tenants in finding homes that better suit their needs while ensuring the best use of housing stock. This role plays a vital part in helping residents downsize, freeing up much-needed homes for those in need, and easing the strain on housing services.

You will work closely with tenants, their families, and external partners, offering tailored advice and support to help them transition smoothly to new accommodation. Your responsibilities will include assessing eligibility for housing incentives, processing necessary documentation, and ensuring accurate records are maintained in housing management systems. Strong interpersonal skills are key, as you will be liaising with various stakeholders, including housing teams, removal companies, social services, and external agencies.

A successful candidate will have a solid understanding of housing policies, tenancy management, and social housing regulations. Experience in a similar role, knowledge of income management, and proficiency in housing systems such as HomeSwapper or Choice-Based Lettings will be beneficial. The ability to communicate effectively, manage competing priorities, and provide excellent customer service is essential.

This is a hybrid role requiring regular travel to tenants' homes, where you will work directly with residents to assess their housing needs and offer support. A clean, valid driving licence and business car insurance are essential for this role. If you are proactive, solution-focused, and committed to helping tenants navigate the housing process, we would love to hear from you.
