A prominent not-for-profit organisation is seeking a Head of Procurement to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, offering a salary of £80,000. The role requires only one on-site visit per month at their Southern offices.
You will play a pivotal role in advancing the strategic development of the procurement function, providing support, influence, and contributions to enhance both strategic and operational performance.

Role responsibilities of the Head of Procurement include:
- Lead and implement a comprehensive procurement framework and long-term strategy across all business areas of the Group.
- Provide specialised support on procurement issues to ensure business needs are met while complying with all relevant regulations.
- Develop and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with legislation and best practices.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of procurement systems and technology to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and achievement of operational targets.
- Conduct proactive analysis of spending areas to optimize contracting strategies and deliver maximum value.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and maintain a future-ready procurement function by integrating insights and innovation.
Person Specification of the Head of Procurement:
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement with broad background across general indirect and construction related services
- Demonstrable working knowledge and application of UK public sector procurement regulations
- Confident in dealing with all levels of people in a professional manner
- Experience procurement leader with experience gained in driving change and improvements within a new or existing procurement team

Up to £80k
Once a month face-to-face meetings will be conducted at main hubs in Andover, Devizes, Wells, Weymouth, Wareham and Ferndown.
