We are currentlysupporting a renowned engineering business to recruit for a proactive MRP Buyerto join their busy Procurement function. You will be responsible for managingthe material requirements planning process to ensure a cost effective approach istaking to sourcing materials, along with timely delivery.If you have experiencein direct procurement, strong analytical skills and excellent communicationthen please get in touch!Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the MRP process to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials based on production schedules and inventory levels.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions to secure the best possible pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Place purchase orders for materials and ensure timely delivery to meet production requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the warehouse team to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Analyse cost trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Utilise MRP software to analyse data and generate reports on material usage, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
  • Make data-driven decisions to optimise the procurement process.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations. Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Buying / Procurement / Supply Chain role sourcing materials or finished goods (ideally in the engineering or manufacturing sector)
  • Proficiency in MRP software and the MS Suite, e-sourcing experience would be beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Confident communicator when dealing with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Negotiation and influencing skills

Package:

  • A salary between £30,000 - £35,000
  • Flexible working in the Wiltshire area (2 days per week in office)
