Job Title: Cost Engineer

Location: Hinkley Point C Project, Somerset

Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hinkley Point C project for a Cost Engineer with estimating experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial management and cost control of the project.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver the Monthly Cost Report.
  • Manage and process Applications for Payment.
  • Compile and present the Cost Value Reconciliation (CvR) report.
  • Generate and maintain the Bookings Report.
  • Interrogate and analyse project costs.
  • Develop and update the Weekly Dashboard.
  • Collaborate with the Change Control Team to support and underpin claims.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed estimates.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in an estimator role.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with NEC forms of contract.
  • Demonstrated ability to present data effectively.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment.
  • Reactive and adaptable to changing project needs.
