Duties:
- Lead and manage a team of social workers and professionals.
- Provide safeguarding advice and guidance.
- Oversee statutory social work services for children, young people, and families.
- Step in for the Operational Manager when needed. •
- Ensure effective performance management and staff training.
- Manage budgets efficiently.
- Collaborate with partner agencies to improve outcomes.
- Conduct reflective supervision and manage staff performance.
- Handle complaints and commendations.
- Manage social work caseloads to ensure timely service delivery.
- Attend court proceedings and relevant meetings.
- Conduct case audits and ensure compliance with procedures.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in statutory social work functions, including safeguarding and support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice.
- Commitment to promoting social change, safeguarding vulnerable individuals, and maximising independence.
