Adults Social Worker, Southwest EnglandPay rate, £32 per hourVitalis Social Care are recruiting for an experienced and qualified Adults Social Worker to join a Safeguarding Team in the Southwest of England.Job Role and Responsibilities: - This position requires someone who is used to working at fast pace and who is confident about making decisions about high-risk situations.This post requires someone to have previous safeguarding experience.  You will have induction but expected to carry out full duties within two weeks.Under the Care Act 2014 all local authorities have a duty to protect adults who are experiencing or at risk of abuse and neglect. The Safeguarding Adults Team plays a crucial role in this.We are a team of 18, comprising of Social Care Practitioners, Social Workers and Senior Practitioners. We form part of the front door service for Bristol City Council, triaging more than 650 safeguarding referrals every month. You will be part of the social work triage team who are allocated safeguarding referrals daily to review, close or send for s42(2) Enquiry.  The amount allocated will vary according to demand. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our partner agencies in Bristol to seek the most proportionate outcome for some of the most vulnerable citizens in BristolYou will be expected to identify cases that may benefit form a multi-agency approach via our MASH Hub (Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub) and to contribute to discussions if necessary. You will use your knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act to make decisions about Capacity and Consent.Please contact Molly Rylance on or email for more information.We recruit across all areas of Qualified Social Work.
