Electrical Maintenance Technician

Nine Twenty are proud to be working with Chivas to help push their recruitment drive to bring in talented engineers into their engineering department.

They are looking for Maintenance Engineers, with an electrical bias, to support operations in achieving performance levels in bottling machinery and equipment and supporting planned maintenance and Continuous Improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Operations
    • You will be supporting the bottling teams with continued electrical response as part of a 2-person team and also leading Continuous Improvement projects in the controls and automation field. You could also be supporting the teams with line cover and mechanical support to minimise setup and breakdown losses during production time.  
  • Maintenance
    • To maintain and improve the hall equipment performance to agreed targets and ensure planned preventative maintenance for all electrical systems is completed according to the CMMS schedule.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • To participate in all continuous improvement initiatives.  You will also initiate, implement, and follow up on A3 projects in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Collaboration
    • You will provide administrative support to the team through effective written and verbal communication and ensure continuity of work priorities and information flow during on-shift.

Requirements

  • Hold recognised trade qualification and are qualified to HNC level with qualifications in Electrical/PLC/Automation.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of PLC/Automation, as well as, electrical controls and programming skills.
  • Ability to develop new skills and are willing to train others.
  • Experienced in operating business process computerised systems i.e. PLC programming software (Allan Bradley/Siemens).
  • Ability to show effective Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement skills.
