Salary: Competitive, £35,000-£40,000 (dependent on experience) (FULL TIME EQUIV)

Contract Type: Temporary (6 Months)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a 6-month temporary contract for our client who has premises at Holywood. You will be responsible for maintaining essential infrastructure and services to ensure optimal conditions for our stock. This role offers a competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000, dependent on your experience, with supplemental pay for alarm cover and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance and spare parts plans, focusing on automation and continuous improvement of infrastructure.
  • Monitor and document maintenance activities, ensuring availability of essential services in line with production schedules.
  • Provide training to farm-based staff on resolving alarms and performing daily maintenance.
  • Manage contractors on-site for specialist projects and capital expenditure (capex) developments.
  • Contribute to process enhancements while ensuring compliance with health and safety, biosecurity, and environmental policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Electrical Expertise: Strong background in electrical installation for pumps, monitoring, and control equipment.
  • Systems Knowledge: Experience with heating/cooling systems, water treatment, re-use, gas/liquid interactions, and pressurized systems.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize and efficiently meet maintenance objectives and production targets.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication, with the ability to produce accurate reports and collaborate with team members.

Duration:
This is a temporary contract for 6 months, to support the existing site engineer with a variety of projects.
