Job Advert: Freelance Site Manager - New Build Drive-Through Fast-Food Development (Civils)
Location: Dumfries
Pay Rate: 310 per day
Duration: 14 weeks
Start Date: 3rd February
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the civils phase of an exciting new build drive-through fast-food development in Dumfries. You must be able to do a bit of Setting out. This project will involve managing the construction of a car park, setting out, and laying the foundations for the new building.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee all site activities and ensure they are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring efficient delivery of works.
- Take responsibility for site safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise the setting out for the car park and building foundations.
- Liaise with the client, consultants, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth communication and project progress.
- Conduct site inductions and daily briefings.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of site activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in civils and groundworks projects, ideally including fast-food or commercial developments.
- Strong knowledge of setting out, foundation works, and car park construction.
- Valid SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid certification.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Own transport and flexibility to work on-site in Dumfries.
