Graduate Controls Engineer (Robotics / Electronics)

Are you a Graduate in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering or similar looking to kickstart your career as a Controls Engineer in a technical role within a company specialising in cutting edge robotics systems for a broad client base across several major industries offering full and continuous progression to senior roles?

This company provide packaging automation and robotics services to a range of clients in a varied range of industries ranging from packaging to solar across Scotland and Northern England. They have seen rapid growth since their establishment in 2021 to the point that they have a team of 6 employees and are now looking for an aspiring Controls Engineer to join their friendly Engineering team to keep up with an ever-increasing workload.

This varied role will see you initially receive full training and then work designing, installing, servicing, and repairing robotic / electrical control systems for a range of clients, as you work predominantly out of the Dumfries workshop. Further to this you will occasionally undertake work travelling to sites across Scotland and Northern England to assist clients and further develop relationships.

This autonomous role would suit an Engineering Graduate looking to become a trained expert in an exciting, niche industry with continuous development throughout your career.

The Role:

  • 07:30 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 13:30 Friday
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems
  • Build control panels
  • Commission new projects with a range of clients
  • Workshop based with travel to sites across Scotland and Northern England

The Person:

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Robotics / Automation Engineering
  • PLCs / CAD knowledge
  • Full Driving License- happy to undertake some travel
