Are you a skilled and reliable Maintenance/Handyperson looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and ensure that our Care Home is maintained to a high standard, keeping it safe and functional for residents and staff.

Job Purpose:

As a Maintenance/Handyperson, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day maintenance of the building and grounds, ensuring that everything is in a safe and efficient working order. Where third-party contractors are required, you will arrange and oversee their work to ensure it meets the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs within the Home and its grounds.
  • Identify and report any potential hazards, ensuring the safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Oversee work carried out by third-party contractors, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Perform regular checks on equipment and facilities to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Highly organised with the ability to be flexible when required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Valid and current driving licence.
  • Satisfactory police check and satisfactory check against the relevant registers within the PVG Scheme.
