Band 6 Occupational Therapist- Inpatient Mental Health

Location: Dumfries, Scotland

Department: Inpatient Mental Health

Start Date: Available immediately

Hours: Full-time (37.5) or part-time

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Inpatient Mental Health team on a locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic a professional to contribute to patient care within a supportive and skilled multidisciplinary team. You will work in the beautiful region of Dumfries and Galloway, offering a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for individuals in an inpatient mental health setting.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to promote recovery-focused care.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Support patients in regaining functional independence and improving quality of life.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in mental health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
