HGV Class 1 Shunters Wanted In WILLOW GREEN!
Logistics People are looking for HGV Shunters/HGV Class 1 Shunters/LGV Shunters/LGV Class 1 Shunters working on a Full time Equivalent (FTE) basis at our Stobarts Willow Green depot.
Location: Bridgwater, TA6 4FG
Working Hours:
- 4 On 4 Off 17:45 – 05:45 Shunting Shifts Available
Pay Rate:
- Weekday Start Window 06:00 - 18:00: £18.03 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
- Weekday Start Window 18:00 - 00:00: £19.82 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
- Weekday Start Window 00:00 - 06:00: £21.63 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
- Weekend Start Window 06:00 - 18:00: £19.82 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
- Weekday Start Window 18:00 - 00:00: £21.63 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
- Weekday Start Window 00:00 - 06:00: £23.42 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
About this role:
- Operate Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner within the premises
- Manoeuvre vehicles into loading and unloading bays according to schedules
- Perform pre-operational checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and drivers to coordinate movement of goods
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly
- Assist with general yard duties and maintenance tasks as required
About You
- You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence
- No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions
- Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards
- Previous experience as a shunter or in a similar role is preferred
- Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
- Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication skills
