Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation require a Procurement Engineer at their site in Torness.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:

  • Experience within a Procurement role
  • Posses a strong working knowledge of technical & quality assurance arrangements standards applicable to the procurement of spare parts.
  • Hold a HNC level in an engineering discipline

Role information:

  • Specifying and evaluating nuclear power station spares against original design and the upkeep of the Spares catalogue
  • Develop procurement specifications, in conjunction with Technical Specialists and Purchasers
  • Maintain compliance with all required standards and arrangements applicable to the specification of plant spares.
  • Complete Item equivalency assessments to support changes to components
  • Assist in investigations to find spare part solutions, including parts searches and obsolescence resolution.
  • Carry out Quality Assurance reviews prior to purchase of QA1/2 Spares, including development/reviewing of Quality plans.
  • Carry out Quality Control inspections on key goods being supplied.
  • Advise the wider Purchasing and Warehouse teams to support smooth operation of the Supply Chain Materials processes.
