Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days
Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation require a Procurement Engineer at their site in Torness.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:
- Experience within a Procurement role
- Posses a strong working knowledge of technical & quality assurance arrangements standards applicable to the procurement of spare parts.
- Hold a HNC level in an engineering discipline
Role information:
- Specifying and evaluating nuclear power station spares against original design and the upkeep of the Spares catalogue
- Develop procurement specifications, in conjunction with Technical Specialists and Purchasers
- Maintain compliance with all required standards and arrangements applicable to the specification of plant spares.
- Complete Item equivalency assessments to support changes to components
- Assist in investigations to find spare part solutions, including parts searches and obsolescence resolution.
- Carry out Quality Assurance reviews prior to purchase of QA1/2 Spares, including development/reviewing of Quality plans.
- Carry out Quality Control inspections on key goods being supplied.
- Advise the wider Purchasing and Warehouse teams to support smooth operation of the Supply Chain Materials processes.
