Apex is a leading construction company with expertise in delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects. We are currently seeking an experiencedSite Managerwith a strong timber kit background (Preferably) to lead a project in EH42, East Lothian, running until February.
Job Description:
As aSite Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a construction project, ensuring the build is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing timber frame projects and be well-versed in managing teams and liaising with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all site activities, ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Lead and coordinate teams, including subcontractors, to ensure the smooth running of daily site operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including managing site safety and carrying out site inductions.
- Monitor progress and quality control, ensuring the build adheres to project specifications and industry standards.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on project progress and address any issues that arise.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage resources, materials, and equipment effectively to avoid delays.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, with a strong background in timber kit construction.
- Must have SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- GOLD or BLACK CSCS Cardis essential.
- First Aid certificationis mandatory.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driving licence.
