Meraki Talent is delighted to be supporting our client, an esteemed and growing Scottish firm, in their search for a Grants Audit Coordinator to join their expanding Dundee office.This role is suitable for a Qualified Audit Senior / Supervisor / Assistant Manager. Previous Grant Audit experience is advantageous but not essential.The RoleAs a Grants Audit Coordinator, you will take a leading role in overseeing the management, compliance, and reporting of grant-funded projects for a diverse portfolio of prestigious public sector and commercial clients across Scotland. You will provide crucial support, training, and guidance to both clients and internal teams, ensuring the seamless execution of grant audits and compliance processes.Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and allocate work to the Grants audit team, supporting them from project initiation to completion.
  • Review completed audit fieldwork, ensuring all points are addressed before final submission.
  • Offer constructive feedback to audit team members to foster their professional development.
  • Collaborate with clients to plan and execute grant-funded projects, providing clear guidance and addressing queries.
  • Conduct onsite fieldwork as needed and provide advisory support to both clients and team members.
  • Participate in training sessions for clients and internal teams, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
  • Lead client meetings, contribute to tenders for new grant projects, and leverage networks for future tender opportunities.

Your ProfileThe ideal candidate will:

  • Be fully qualified (CA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent).
  • Have a strong background working on grant claims, especially Innovate UK and EU grants.
  • Possess at least two years’ experience in accountancy practice, ideally in audit.
  • Demonstrate excellent delegation, mentoring, and client management skills.
  • Be highly organised, proficient in IT and report writing, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Previous Grant Audit experience is advantageous but not essential.
