Assistant Accountant

Your new companyHays are pleased to be working in partnership with a locally established, reputable organisation who are recognised for their quality products and services offered to the local and wider community in Dundee. This role is being offered on a part time, permanent basis to support the well established business in their daily finance processes.Your new roleIn your new role, you will be the main point of contact for all tasks and queries relating to finance across the organisation. This will require you to be comfortable in managing daily purchase and sales ledger invoice processing, bank and supplier statement reconciliations and preparing quarterly VAT returns. You will also be expected to understand how to prepare the monthly management accounts, but additional support on this can be offered.What you'll need to succeedTo succeed, you will be a dedicated and experienced finance professional who is interested in securing a part time, permanent role whereby you can positively support a local organisation by managing their finance operations. You will be someone who can work well in a small team, take accountability and be confident in communicating financial information to internal and external stakeholders.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be offered a competitive base salary of circa £30,000 per annum (pro rata) and the opportunity to join a reputable business that is known for its quality products and services. You will be working on a part time basis (hours can be discussed on successful application) and be office based alongside the rest of the team.
