Assistant Shift Team Leader

Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading client in the power generation sector to recruit an Assistant Shift Team Leader to work at their Energy from Waste power plant in Dundee, Scotland.
This crucial Assistant Shift Team Leader role comes with a salary of 46,900 + benefits.

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will:

• Support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Energy from Waste facility.
• Assist in overseeing plant operations from the control room and on-site.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Carry out routine plant inspections, maintenance, and adjustments.
• Control and operate the Safe System of Work as an Authorised Person.
• Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• A recognised engineering qualification in a relevant discipline.
• IOSH
• Authorised Person or Senior Authorised Person status in Safe Systems of Work (desirable).
• Experience working in a similar environment such as power generation, chemical, defence, etc.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, environmental, and HSE requirements.
