An opportunity has arisen within the Transmission department for a Depot Clerk (Maintenance) based in Dundee, reporting to the Admin Team Manager.

The role focuses on providing operational support to Pipelines, Pressure Control and E&I maintenance and project activities on our transmission and distribution assets.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to support the delivery of excellent operational and safety performance across Scotland Maintenance.

I help to keep people safe and warm by…

  • Scheduling work for routine and non-routine maintenance activities in Maximo
  • Providing general support and assistance to operational colleagues
  • Administering the Scotland Maintenance health surveillance programme
  • Managing third-party contract arrangements
  • Producing local reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis
  • Reporting management information related to PEPSI, MRI, and SHE performance targets
  • Capturing and updating records in SGN systems
  • Liaising with Asset Management, depots, customers, and external clients
  • Assisting with support activities for the wider admin team and providing flexible cover as needed.

What you’ll need

The ideal candidate will preferably have experience of Maintenance systems and processes; however, applications will also be considered from those with gas industry experience in other functions who can demonstrate an aptitude to develop into this role.

You will be a highly motivated person with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be a good team worker, capable of working to tight deadlines and responding to changing priorities at short notice and you will be prepared to take initiative to minimize or prevent anticipated problems.

You will be able to communicate effectively and politely, both verbally and in writing, with employees, managers, and customers within and outside the company, providing excellent levels of customer service at all times. A neat and accurate worker you will have excellent computer sills, ideally being competent in Microsoft software packages such as Word, Excel and other key office systems.

An appropriate management or technical qualification would be an advantage. You must be self-motivated, with the ability to effectively control costs, people, resources, and tasks.
