Our client are looking for an operator to help run their terminal ensuring the safe working practices of the site and compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures and standards.

Responsible for quality assurance of all stored products, and shift documentation requirements.
Monitoring and reporting on Environmental requirements in accordance with the conditions of the PPC permit.

  • Ensuring that safety and environmental standards are maintained.
  • Operation of plant in the discharge, storage, and loading of products.
  • Issue of permits to work and the control of contractors on site.
  • Ensure targets for fuel and steam usage are met and improved on.
  • Safe and efficient control of treatment plants and site utilities.
  • Completion of clear and accurate log sheets to record and monitor the performance of the site.
  • Carry out preventative, breakdown and demand maintenance on systems, equipment and services on shift as long as they are within the training and competence of the individual.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are reported and recorded as required.
  • Report plant defects, near misses or occurrences to maintain and improve the safety and operability of the site.
  • Ensure that product samples are taken and tested according to the quality control plan and results are documented. Carry out quality control testing that is within the training and competence of the individual.
  • Carry out additional duties as determined by the Depot Supervisor.
