We are currently seeking a Permanent Mechanical Engineer for a reputable manufacturing company based in Dundee. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong mechanical background to join a dynamic team and contribute to cutting-edge projects in the field of automation.

No two projects are ever the same, which also provides variety ensuring continuous learning for all.

Requirements:

  • Previous assembly experience in a machine manufacturing environment.
  • Building engineering assemblies and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and parts list.
  • Routing and install machine wiring (with instructions from electrical engineer).
  • Debugging mechanical assemblies and overall machine operation.
  • Participate in internal machine trials and client FAT.
  • Undertake client machine installation, commissioning and training.
  • Good level of communication and problem solving.
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • NC/HNC Engineering discipline
  • Experience of using machine tools such as lathes/milling/grinding
