CAD Technician
Avenue Recruitment are currently seeking a graduate CAD technician on a Permanent basis for one of our kitchen design clients. We are looking for a talented designer to be part of a manufacturing firms design team, working to produce engineering drawings for manufacturing our cabinetry.
As a CAD Engineer you will utilise your expertise in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD to transform technical information into detailed 3D drawings.

The Role:

  • Create 2D and 3D drawings, assemblies and parts using AutoCAD software adhering to design standards and guidelines.
  • Translating kitchen designs into CAD cabinetry.
  • Creating new and maintaining existing parts manuals.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select and source appropriate components and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of design iterations, revisions, and project progress.


The Candidate

  • Previous experience as a CAD Engineer or similar role, any AutoCAD 2D and 3D experience would be desired.
  • Strong proficiency in design and engineering drawing creation.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work on their own and within a team.
  • To have effective communication skills, be self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • To have the ability to communicate with clients and customers to resolve any design, drawing issues.
