MS545 - Electrician 

Location: Dunfermline (National Travel) 

Salary: £37,440 - £45,760 Per Annum + Company Van 

Overview: First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Electrician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible, presentable, and willing to learn. As a natural team player, you will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and as an experienced electrician you will be able to demonstrate strong manual dexterity and good eye to hand co-ordination as well as having the physical strength to carry heavy electrical equipment and tools at times.

Overtime and staying away from home in accommodation will be required on a regular basis as we have contracts UK wide.

Our client encourages applications from former service personnel, however all qualified candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Surveying sites where electrical systems are installed.
  • Installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing electrical systems in public spaces and buildings including electric car charging points
  • Ensuring that all electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Supervising ongoing electrical system installations and providing technical expertise to installation teams where needed.
  • Using wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete projects
  • Completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the job.
  • Identifying electrical problems and repairing them.
  • Advising clients when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards.
  • Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment.

Skills and Experiences:

  • Hold a valid ECS gold card.
  • Hold BS7671 18th edition certification.
  • Hold a full, clean driving license.
  • C&G 2391, inspection & testing (desirable).
  • Solar PV/EV Charger experience (desirable).
  • SMSTS/ SSSTS (desirable).
  • PASMA (desirable).
  • IPAF (desirable).
  • Asbestos Awareness (desirable).
