Conrad Consulting is currently offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator on behalf of one of our clients. They are looking for someone who can bring a fresh perspective to their team and won't be afraid to suggest new ideas to improve their current practices. Our client completes a wide range of projects around the world, including all aspects of passive fire protection, firestopping, dry lining, partitioning, and more.

What you'll be doing/assisting with

  • Tender preparation for new and existing projects
  • Create a tender price from the ground up, based on the scope of work and the schedule.
  • Prepare a tender report in advance of tender adjudication.
  • Investigate the costs of subcontractors and materials.
  • Interact with clients to ensure they are kept up to date throughout the project's lifetime.
  • Monitor project progress and expenditures and report any deviations from the budget.
  • Establish and maintain positive connections with clients, supply chain partners, and internal/site teams.
  • Have working knowledge of current Health and Safety practice

What you'll need to be successful

  • Previous experience working within a competitive and successful estimating team or department
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent levels of computer literacy, and be fluent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to liaise with senior clients and subcontractors
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise various tasks
  • Have working knowledge of current Health and Safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
