First Task Professional are once again partnering with a Construction Services Contractor based in Fife to help recruit a Plant and Machinery manager for their business.

With over 300m of assets under their control youwill be tasked withimplementing standardised approaches to Asset Management and Logistics and build this into everyday working practice. In particular, the candidate will use their knowledge within a practical Plant and Machinery environment to evaluate and manage equipment repairs carried out by their maintenance partner. Duties to include

  • Accountability for driving the quality with the maintenance service delivery partner.
  • The maintenance of accurate inventory asset databases.
  • Identify and realise tangible cost savings associated with third party maintenance contracts.
  • Accountability for ensuring all existing assets are brought into maintenance as required in a timely fashion, old assets disposed of correctly and that all new assets are promptly brought onto account and onto maintenance schedules
  • Ensure current processes and procedures are suitable for effective
  • Deliver training to regional staff in respect of relevant processes and procedures relating to the maintenance and logistics
  • Manage regional customer and supplier relationships, driving improvement and value
  • Conduct regional capability reviews and provision of informed future requirements
  • Liaison with regional subject matter experts on specialist areas of fleet management

Due to the nature of the role, travel is required across Scotland and Northern Ireland to various sites so a drivers license is a requirement. You will also be required to gain SC clearance due to sensitive locations if sites.
