Our client is an established, global manufacturing business based in Fife. They are currently recruiting a Quality Inspector to support the business in the validation of all products to ensure they meet customer requirements, and all other relevant industrial regulations & legislation.


The Role
As a QA Inspector, you'll play a crucial role in validating products to ensure they meet both customer and industry standards. You'll conduct inspections and tests at various stages of production, collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, and maintain meticulous inspection records. Your expertise will contribute to developing new products and refining processes, with occasional opportunities for travel to support other sites and customers.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Inspect/test incoming materials from suppliers, as required.
  • Ensure ATE test programs, test leads, and test jigs are in place for all new/updated products.
  • Support Quality Team by writing/updating test programs for the ATE system, as required.
  • Create test procedures, plans, and checklists.
  • Develop and maintain inspection records/reports, e.g., for quality concerns/defects.
  • Support Quality Team with customer returns.
  • Maintain (internal/external) measuring equipment calibration register, and validate equipment in house, as required.
  • Stay up to date with all new/specialised processes and tests.


You
  • Experience: 2+ years in a similar QA role within engineering or manufacturing.
  • Skills: Proficient with ATE systems, able to read technical documents, and skilled in Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred: IPC-A-610/IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification and HNC in Engineering/Quality.
