Our client, a leading high-tech manufacturing company, is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient procurement, supplier management, and inventory control while maintaining compliance and mitigating risks across the supply chain. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to streamline operations, optimise costs, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and enhance cost-effective procurement processes, working with suppliers to improve the overall value chain.
  • Supplier Management: Research, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and resolving invoice queries.
  • Order & Inventory Management: Oversee purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery while managing goods inwards, shipping, and customs compliance.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to align supply needs with production requirements, preventing stock shortages and ensuring smooth operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships. A high level of organisation and attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing business needs.
