Vehicle Technician | Dunfermline | Full Time - 40 hours per week plus overtime at time and a half rate | £29,000 - £40,000 plus bonus + overtime per year depending on skills, experience and performance in the role

West End Garage is an independent and privately owned business working with Škoda since 1987. Today we are one of the UK's leading dealerships for the brand with sites located in Dunfermline, Stirling and Edinburgh.

Due to continued success, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician at their Dunfermline dealership located at Halbeath Motor Park. You will be working within the company's very busy Aftersales Department to ensure the company's core values are always upheld.

As a Vehicle Technician reporting to the Aftersales Manager your main responsibilities will be the ongoing service, repair and pre-delivery inspection checks of vehicles.

Working closely with the Workshop Controller you will work through your allocated jobs and feedback to the front-of-house Service Advisor team with any additional works or escalation the customer needs to be made aware of.

As part of our service to all our customers, we offer a video health check service where we record on camera any work that needs to be completed on customer's vehicles.

The role requires you to work 40 hours a week, from Monday to Friday and Saturdays would be paid as overtime.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • L3 qualification in vehicle service and repair
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician (franchised dealership preferred)
  • Team player
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • ‘Can do' attitude
  • Must hold a valid driving licence
  • As a Vehicle Technician, you will be fully competent in the servicing and repairing of vehicles to the highest Manufacturer standards
  • Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK

What will your role look like?

  • Deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction and ensure first-time fix is achieved for each customer
  • To maintain skill levels and full awareness of all technology used in the vehicle range, attending relevant Vehicle Technician training when required
  • To keep the work area and protective clothing clean, tidy and in a safe condition to uphold the manufacturer and company image
  • To take an active part in upholding the company's Health and Safety policy
