Are you an experienced Welding Chargehand looking for your next challenge? Langfields, a leading fabrication company, is seeking a skilled and motivatedWorking Welding Chargehandto join our team at our Dunfermline facility.

About the Role

As a Working Welding Chargehand, you will play a key role in overseeing welding operations while actively contributing to fabrication work. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality welding ofstainless and carbon steel pipeworkfor the oil & gas industry. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both technical expertise and the ability to supervise and mentor a team of welders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supervising a team of welders, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Welding stainless and carbon steel pipework to industry specifications.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Coordinating workload distribution and supporting project deadlines.
  • Conducting inspections and quality checks on welded components.
  • Liaising with supervisors and project managers to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Welding Chargehand or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong welding experience instainless and carbon steel pipework, ideally within theoil & gas industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures.
  • Knowledge of welding codes and industry standards.
  • Strong I.T skills and able/willing to communicate in detail via email.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support team members.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
