About the Role
As a Working Welding Chargehand, you will play a key role in overseeing welding operations while actively contributing to fabrication work. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality welding ofstainless and carbon steel pipeworkfor the oil & gas industry. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both technical expertise and the ability to supervise and mentor a team of welders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and supervising a team of welders, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
- Welding stainless and carbon steel pipework to industry specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinating workload distribution and supporting project deadlines.
- Conducting inspections and quality checks on welded components.
- Liaising with supervisors and project managers to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welding Chargehand or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong welding experience instainless and carbon steel pipework, ideally within theoil & gas industry.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures.
- Knowledge of welding codes and industry standards.
- Strong I.T skills and able/willing to communicate in detail via email.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support team members.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
