Part-Time | Assistant Accountant and Office Manager | Dungannon

  • Annual Salary: £19K - £24K (pro-rata for 24 hrs per week)
  • Location: Co Tyrone
  • Job Type: Part-time (3 - 5 days)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Assistant Accountant and Office Manager to join a dynamic organisation in Co Tyrone.  This role offers hybrid working, flexible working hours, excellent annual leave, a competitive salary and a performance bonus of up to £2k.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist with the production of Management Accounts and other Financial Reports
  • Handle Sales/Purchase Ledgers processing, including maintaining and resolving issues arising from our internal automated sales invoicing and self-billing system and Sage 200
  • Communicate with customers regarding payments and queries
  • Manage bank operations including supplier payments, completing bank reconciliations, and handling euro currency exchange
  • Process PAYE and Pension submissions, monthly HMRC VAT returns, and PAYE
  • Make journal entries as required (Accruals, Prepayments, Payroll, expense claims, etc.)
  • Assist in Weekly KPI reporting & Trended Analysis
  • Manage fixed assets and assist in grant claims
  • Responsible for daily office operations including inventory management, organising repairs & maintenance, and assisting in cleaning and catering requirements
  • Assist in office contract negotiations (e.g., Rent, Internet, Insurance)
  • Support other business tasks as requested

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting role
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Accounting qualification is desired but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting packages/software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Problem solver with a can-do attitude
