Your new role
Your new role as a Design Engineer (Junior/Intermediate) will involve producing fully detailed models and drafts, designing equipment that meets safety standards, and creating products that align with quality and customer specifications. You will be responsible for maintaining a tidy work area to ensure health and safety, providing excellent customer care within the plant, and working cooperatively with others to maintain an efficient and harmonious atmosphere. Additionally, you will ensure that your production time is accurately allocated to the correct job, import 2D flat patterns into nesting software, and generate programs for laser and plasma cutting. You will also be expected to undertake any other duties as required by management within your competence.


What you'll need to succeed
What you'll need to succeed is a degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in 3D modelling. You should possess strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities with managers, colleagues, and customers, and the ability to organise your work activities efficiently. Working on your own initiative, having a positive attitude towards health and safety, and maintaining a high standard of quality in the goods produced are essential. Proficiency in using information technology as required is also necessary.
