Market 36 Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Fabricator/Welder & Production Engineer on behalf of our client based in Great Dunmow, Essex, on a permanent basis.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled team within a niche industry, working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be involved in fabrication, welding, CNC machining, and product finishing, gaining valuable experience across multiple areas of production.
Roles and Responsibilities
- The role involves fabricating, building, preparing, and TIG-welding a variety of parts to a high standard within required timeframes. Component finishing, including de-burring, linishing, and grinding, is also a key part of the position.
- There will be involvement in manual and CNC machining, assisting with CAD drawing and programming CNC machinery (full training provided). Product development and production administration will also form part of the role.
- Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing products for painting, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and ready for finishing. Where required, paint preparation and painting may also be part of the duties.
Experience, Education & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a TIG fabricator/welder or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience working with sheet metal (preferred).
