Having made a large number of business purchases, the finance function has grown in-line with the revenue increase and they are now seeking to add further talent to an established finance function. Your New Role As Management Accountant:
As Management Accountant you shall lead on the month-end tasks for several business units. Based in a group accounting function, you shall be supported with finance administrators and have the further support of Management. Reporting to the Finance Manager/Controller, this is an excellent opportunity to join a successful finance team.
Role Responsibilities:
Prepare / Calculate month end journals including prepayments/accruals, accrued / deferred income
Preparation of Management Accounts for several limited companies within the Group.
Full month end routine including preparation of the Profit & Loss packs along with reconciliation of all balance sheet nominals, capitalising assets and running depreciation Etc.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to reconcile multiple sources of information is key
Identify and implement improvements through continuous review to drive efficiency in the month end process.
Extensive intercompany transactions, journals and transfers and Intercompany reconciliations
Assist with the Group VAT return and payment process.
Assist the Head of Finance with any other adhoc projects as required
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered for this role you shall have operated in a similar role where Management Accounts have been the core focus. QBE, or with either a formal qualification, or on the way to achieving one you shall be driven to add value in a commercial setting where the detail forms a large part of the decision making process. With sound technical skills, and the ability to deliver timely and accurate month end reporting, you shall be well rehearsed in producing analysis, as well as month end management accounting activities.
