What you'll do:
As a Group Financial Accountant, your role will be pivotal in managing the financial aspects of our client's business. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised in assessing risks and advising on appropriate bidding strategies. Your ability to identify financial trends and anomalies will play a crucial role in conducting comprehensive reviews of balance sheet reconciliations across group subsidiaries.
- Prepare and submit FCA returns (RMAR), adhering to industry regulations and demonstrating financial integrity.
- Preparation statutory accounts for individual entities and group consolidated accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Write technical accounting papers and complete legal documentation for filing with Companies House.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of balance sheet reconciliations across group subsidiaries, board packs, and flash reports, identifying financial trends and anomalies.
- Review, document, and improve revenue recognition processes across the group.
- Implement and review group financial control standards, improving intercompany accounting processes to support reconciliation, elimination, and visibility of balances.
- Implement standardised group financial accounting policies.
- Lead initiatives for UK SOX compliance by enhancing financial control processes across the group.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Group Financial Accountant role will bring a wealth of experience in managing financial evaluations of acquisitions, assessing risks, and advising on bidding strategies. You will have a track record of accurately determining the fair value of assets and liabilities, preparing and submitting FCA returns (RMAR), and adhering to industry regulations.
- Proven experience in preparing FCA returns (RMAR) and adhering to industry regulations.
- Experience in preparing statutory accounts for individual entities and group consolidated accounts.
- Ability to write technical accounting papers and complete legal documentation for filing with Companies House.
- Experience in conducting comprehensive reviews of balance sheet reconciliations across group subsidiaries.
- Experience in reviewing group financial controls and producing comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations for senior management.
- Knowledgeable about revenue recognition processes across the group.
- Experience in implementing and reviewing group financial control standards.
- Experience in implementing standardised group financial accounting policies.
- Ability to conduct quarterly IFRS training sessions on new and amended financial standards.
- Experience in leading initiatives for UK SOX compliance by enhancing financial control processes across the group.
